Elizabeth
Elizabeth came by the studio last week to get some headshots for her new website. We did some standard stuff, then some stuff she can use in other marketing materials…then, for the last half hour or so, we just had some fun. This is my favorite…a collection of washed out blues and greens that all just seem to make for a nice tonality. Been shooting in the studio more and more lately…more to share soon, and more on the schedule to shoot.
Raquel
Been shooting some in the studio lately. Barely keeping up getting images out (much less up here on the blog). It’s been a very busy month, but things shouild calm down soon and I hope to get a lot more up here soon, including some shots from this session with Raquel which was a teaching session for our small local photo group about how to use studio lighting.
The Red Hat

Schaulis
I did a quick seminar on off camera flash for the Durham Photo Group and had everyone using my equipment and shooting in manual mode (some of them for the first time). There were 5 people shooting all at once and I didn’t get much for my own use from the whole thing. But I did get the one below (and a few others that I will post when I get the time to process them).
One more of Schaulis
The aim of the shoot was to make her look like a doll. This wasn’t really MY shoot…I glommed on to something that was already set up for the day. Glad of it too. But Schaulis has a beautiful smile and the shot of her between the railings (in the last post) and the shot below are the only real smiles I captured all day. This is (maybe) my favorite shot from the whole adventure.

Model Shoot in Chapel Hill
Schaulis is a model and clthing designer. She made the dress she is wearing in these photos. She’s great in front of the camera and very photogenic. We shot a lot of different looks over the course of a Sunday morning, from doll like and fantasy looks to more gritty street photography and a whole bunch in between. These are a few of my favorites from the day:

Kate

Kate
I had the opportunity to photograph Kate, an aspring model, a couple weeks back. There was no great purpose to the work…she needed headshots for her portfolio and I am working to build my portfolio to better demonstrate the range of my photographic talents (I mean that more humbly than it sounds.). Anyway, Kate is very photogenic and having that kind of raw material to work with really made my job easy.
Kayleigh

Kayleigh
Kayleigh hired me to shoot some promotional photos for her dance fitness program. We took pictures of the class in action for her website and also some headshots for her more general use.
