Les is the grandfather of Emory and Augie and a long time friend of my wife (and me) and her family. Here, he is sitting pool side watching the grandkids play. He loves kids (mine included) and always takes them about to do little chores in the garden and fish pond. I wanted to post this because I really like the photo itself, and to share with you someone who is very dear to my family.

Michael came by the other night to help set up the studio for a session I have scheduled for this coming weekend. Once we got stuff in place, we did some test shots. I’ll save the new setup to share with the coming session it was designed for, but wanted to post one of Michael to say thanks for his help.

Elizabeth came by the studio last week to get some headshots for her new website. We did some standard stuff, then some stuff she can use in other marketing materials…then, for the last half hour or so, we just had some fun. This is my favorite…a collection of washed out blues and greens that all just seem to make for a nice tonality. Been shooting in the studio more and more lately…more to share soon, and more on the schedule to shoot.

Michael is a photographer and a member of of small local photo group that’s been kicking around lately. He’s also a jack-o-all trades who has spent hours helping to get my old workshop convereted into a useful studio space. I have much to post, including several sessions taken in the studio, but first things first, needed to thank Michael for helping make those sessions possible.

Another from the shoot with Chris.  This one in a film noir style with part of his face in deep shadow.  I like the tonality (especially in black and white) and severe expression on his face.

Chris is an acoustic guitarist and singer from Rocky Mount.  I had the opportunity to do some publicity photos for him a little while back.  We had a great location to shoot in and got a number of images for him to use in his promotional material.  I especially liked this warm sunlit portrait we took near the end of the session.
